Mamatha Tulluri has been a pioneer in contributing to the handloom revival movement in India and her brand has strived to make a conscious effort to support and uphold the traditional art form of weaving .

Her design philosophy is firmly rooted in the use of traditional handwoven fabrics with a modern spin for pret and bridal wear alike. Her brand has been deeply entwined with the weaver community since its inception 12 years ago. “Saadgi” serves to commemorate her commitment to India’s diverse handwoven textile tradition and is a tribute to the craftsmen who have been paramount in keeping this tradition alive.

Mamatha started her own label Mamatha Tulluri's, The Designer Studio in 2008, and has showcased her collections in all major Indian cities and the USA through events and trunk shows. Her simple yet trendy designs have earned the approval of modern women who have a taste for Indian sensibilities.

Her collection boasts a stunning ensemble of lustrous silk and decadent Benarasi weaves that disclose magnificent fashion tales. Her work uses traditional handwoven fabrics worked with Ikat, temple borders and Jamdanis, Banaras brocades, and exquisite embroideries.

By reinventing dyeing and printing techniques and adding contemporary elements to handwoven fabrics, Mamatha's work continues to be a testament to how traditional opulence can be redefined and restored in our rich cultural heritage.
